Buying land for a cell tower

So, if a person was looking to buy a lot specifically to use for a lease for a cell tower, how would the person know if a lot would be accepted by one of the carriers for this purpose? For example, there are a lot of parcels of land in my area that are affordable, but they'd be good for nothing but a cell tower (think very rural). If I had 3 or 4 in mind, how would I know which one (if any) of these would be accepted? In other words, I don't wanna buy a parcel of land for this purpose only to find out that it's a dud as far as using for cell tower leasing goes. Thanks!

Bad idea unless your uncle is the radio frequency engineer or real estate manager for on of the carriers. Try looking for a distressed or foreclosed or bank owned property with a cell tower or building with a rooftop cell site and buy that.
